Day eleven.

Wedding bits.

Hey guys!
Another little wedding post mainly so I can keep track of everything going on! And I thought you might enjoy reading my lists of things to do as well :)
So we have just over a year until the big day and so far we have;
Chosen the date
Sorted the venue
(we are using a country hotel for the whole day, getting married in the garden and then having the reception there too)!
The guest list is under way
As is the table plan, although knowing me this will change at least 3 times before the final plan.
Food for the wedding breakfast and also the reception has been chosen
I have been shopping for my dress and also the bridesmaids dresses, but we haven't yet decided on them.
Registrar is booked for the day :)

Well I'm glad I got that out my system as I felt like I hadn't actually done anything in the last 6 months! But turns out I have actually done quite a bit.

The next thing on the list is to chose the design for the save the dates and either get them made or buy them from somewhere? This is my priority at the moment as I wanted them sent out to all our guests by the end of July and although it is a month away I know that its going to fly by!

Much love

Day ten.

Mini haul
Hey guys!
So today I took a cheeky little trip to my most local shopping centre just to do a little bit of window shopping! Well, seeing as its the day before payday and my bank statement was looking a little sorry for itself to say the least I really shouldn't and couldn't afford to buy anything! But knowing myself I just couldn't beat the urge and had a tiny little splurge. Honestly it was tiny but I did pick up a couple of really nice, inexpensive things.
Now I really don't like reading blog hauls, thinking oh now that is really nice, think about purchasing it for myself and then seeing the price! So honestly I think I can safely say if you like something you see on this post you can go and pick it up for under £10.

This necklace is from Accessorize and at £8 I really couldn't resist it. I don't really own much in the way of necklaces, especially not gold, but I have seen a lot of people wearing gold with either black for  a statement or browns and khaki's which I think also looks really nice so I thought, I would buy this and have a go at matching it up with some outfits myself!

Okay so next up is this really lovely necklace with leaf design, it came from H&M for an amazing price of £3.99. Again its gold like the previous one but this isn't as yellow as the first, it has that older look about it with the very dark creases in the leaves; I also love the little beads between the leaves which I feel brakes it up really nicely!

And last up is this cute little necklace again from H&M and again for the bargain of £3.99. This has small gold studs running across but they aren't too big. I really like how edgy this could look with the right outfit but also still looks quite delicate. Being more of a yellow gold I feel that this one looks a little cheaper but for £3.99 I wasn't at all bothered but this. I think this is going to be really easy to wear, both day to day and out in the evening.

Well that's my three new necklaces, see I told you it was only a tiny, tiny splurge. I did also buy a dress but I'm going to include that in my next haul post as I am going shopping next Tuesday and I am expecting to find lots of nice things to buy and show you!
Much love

Day nine.

Beauty bobs

Evening people!
Today I'm doing a bit of a beauty post, my top 10 Barry M nail polishes although my whole blog isn't based on beauty its something I really enjoy so there will be a couple of posts here and there. I must apologize firstly on the poor quality pictures, because of the lighting and shine on the nail my camera just wouldn't focus but I hope they are not all bad!
So here goes this is my top 10, it was really hard to just chose 10 as I am a bit of a collector when it comes to Barry M but I have tried to do 5 winter colours and 5 summer ones.

This is 296 Coral, I must say this is my favourite summer colour! It is orange with a very pink undertone and is just lovely in the summer; definitely my go to summer varnish.

Next up is 301 Bock Orange, it is exactly what is says; orange!! You couldn't get a more true orange if you tried, again I love this in the summer, I try to wear bright colours and this just goes with a lot of things!

305 Pink Flamingo; this is the first ever colour I bought from Barry M, I really like it because it has a bit more depth than the usual 'barbie pink', I really find that its easy to wear, I tend to be a bit more girly in the summer and this is just perfect for that!

Now these next two colours are just amazing, they are the new Gelly Hi-Shine nail varnishes, this one is GNP 13 Papaya. Again I really like this colour in the summer but the beauty with these is that it gives the nail such a shine, they actually in my opinion look like the gel, 2 week lasting nail varnishes you can get done in salons except these only cost £3.99 and can be done at home in about 10 minutes!

This is the same as before in GNP 12 Greenberry, this is the latest colour I added to my collection and I really like it, I find it a bit harder to wear as its not a colour I would normally go for but I really like the Hi-Shine quality to it.

This is my first winter favourite, and I know what your thinking, its not very my first choice for a winter colour, but I would normally wear this glitter of a darker colour. Its 349 Rose Quartz Glitter, I did try painting this over black but the picture wouldn't focus and I wanted you guys to see the really beautiful colour of the glitter. This is a great varnish to wear to a party or night out, I tend to apply a couple of layers to add to the sparkle but you can apply as little or as much as you like, that is what I really love about this colour.

This is 351 Yellow Topaz Glitter, I think this is actually my go to winter colour, its great over black to show off the colour of the glitter but my favourite way to wear this is over a bright red for Christmas! It has two glitters in it like the Rose Quartz one, a smaller glitter which gives it a bit of a base and then you get these big glitter chunks that scatter over the nail to give a really nice effect.

Now this is a new colour for me its the GNP 3 Watermelon, not a colour I would normally choose but being one of the Gelly varnishes I thought I would give it a try and, I really like it. Its a very dark emerald green; I tend to wear a lot of browns and khaki colours in the winter and I think this will go really well with them. Again I love the Hi-Shine effect, I just wish Barry M bought this concept out a lot sooner as I think its the best nail product they've ever bought out.

310 Mushroom, I really like this colour as I tend to wear nude colours to work quite a lot in the summer and this has the same concept but in a darker version for the winter. I find it so easy to wear as it goes with practically everything and doesn't stand out to much at work. Overall I really great, practical colour!

And last but definitely not least my fun winter colour, 312 Indigo. This is a royal blue which I suppose could be worn in both summer and winter but I think this is great for winter as its a dark colour but is still quite bright for those days you just want winter to end, and the sunshine to come out!

So that's it guys, my top 10 Barry M nail varnishes, sorry if I've rambled on but I couldn't get it down to under 10. I find Barry M great as I have horrible nails and wouldn't leave the house with something on them. Its quick and easy, one coat will give you a lovely pastel colour but add a second coat and I find the colour on your nail just pops and has so much shine to it. They are also very cheap for the quality of the product, at just £2.99 for normal colours and £3.99 for glitters or gelly varnishes, plus I normally buy them in Superdrug or Boots when they have their 3for2 offers!
Much Love

Day seven.

Hi guys!
Wednesdays part of the massively long post goes a little like this.
The day started to be very boring, I woke up and went to work like any other day but on my lunch I decided to make the most out of the sunshine! As it is very rare!
I decided to take a little walk over the local railway land, it's basically a load of field next to the train station that has been made into a very cute nature trail full of little pathways with hidden benches next to the river. I remember helping out with it when I was I school but I must admit I hadn't actually been there since, but, after my lovely walk I will definitely be returning on other sunny days!
While I was on my venture I took some rubbish snaps of some wild flowers; I know they are bad as the sun was shining on my phone and I couldn't actually see what I was doing but I thought I would include them as they are rather cheery!
A great blurry pic!! Pretty colour though :)
Little patch of daisies which has actually inspired me for the wedding, I'm thinking of adding some of those flowers that look like massive daisies into the bouquets; actually if anyone knows the name of them a comment would be much appreciated :)
And finally the view from where I finally perched my bum :)
So as well as having a lovely lunch we also ended up going out to dinner with some friends to talk about something really excited that might happen within the next couple of months, but that's another post for another day!
Much love

Day six.

Morning guys!
Just to warn you all this may end up being a stupidly long post as I have been up to a couple things over the past few days!
So starting with Tuesday, it was my third day off in a row which honestly is a rarity! My other half was working a late so we took the opportunity to have a lay in and then watch homes under the hammer, very sad I know!
So after I took him to work I sat around on my bum for most of the day chatting with my mum and aunty, and then at six o'clock this happened...

I met my bestest chummy from work and we had a sneaky coffee! :) I must say though we then went and bought salad to have a nice picnic dinner by the river which, well, we really didn't get to do. We ended up taking a little trip with the dogs to the beach. It was absolutely lovely and felt like the summer had finally started, I even dipped my toes in the sea! And for anyone living in England you know what a big deal that is. :)
Here I am taking a little dip, which turned into me getting half my trouser legs soaked as I was unaware how big the waves can get!

View of the beach, unfortunately at this point the sun had decided to disappear!
Okay so after rambling in for even longer than I thought I would I think I'm going to split this into two post, which would actually make sense as I have a few pictures from Wednesdays adventures too!
Much love

Day five.

Hey guys!!
This is just a real quick post as I didn't post last night!
Meet my new friend :)
Our doggy made babies and this is how they turned out!! How adorable is this little one!! :)
Anyway today I'm meeting my bestest chummy after work so I shall blog later with lots of pictures to share I'm sure :)
Have a nice day people!!

Day four.

Evening people!
So today me and my mr went to Ikea!
It was so much fun I wish I had taken lots of pictures but I always feel like a bit too much of a
tourist taking pictures in Ikea :)
Well as you guys know if you read yesterday's blog ( if you haven't yet, go check it out) I went
to buy the famous Alex drawers, I was going to buy the smaller one for £55 as I couldn't justify spending £85 on the larger one when indigent really need it, but when we got there the bigger one was actually on offer to people with the family card for £65!
Well, obviously I would be silly not to go for this as it was only £10 more so I got it!
However it took a long, long time to put the bloody thing together!

Here it is in all its glory, finally together and squeezed into place :)

And the start of my little nail polish collection, I must admit its a tiny obsession of mine, but what girl doesn't love nail polish :)

Another reason we went today was to try and find some bits for the wedding, I ended up getting these really cute tea light holders and also these bargain, one pound vases shown below.
I thought I could put them on the guest book table and gift table with just a couple of flowers in :)

Everything shown in this post can be found on the ikea website, the holders with flowers on the side were 45p each and the other ones came in sets for £1-£2!!
Anyway guys I shall be off but as I'm trying to blog everyday at the moment I will be back tomorrow.
Much love

Day three.

Hi guys!
Nothing great to update on today although I am exited for the next couple
days as I have some time off from work.
So tomorrow I am taking a little trip to Ikea with the other half to get the famous 'Alex'
drawers and also I'm really hoping they will have some pretty glass tea light
holders for the wedding :)
So, yeah really looking forward to that and also its fathers day which means I can finally give
my dad the presents I've been hiding for about a week now; I am really bad at keeping things secrets
so I'm quite proud of myself for not already telling him what I got him!
So these are the candle holders I was planning to look for just to scatter on the tables.
What do we reckon? Wedding enough? I just hope they look as lovely as the pictures!

Also I was going to look for some plain small glasses to dart around to break up the others.
Again people, I need your help with this? Will it look too cheap? Or nice and simplistic?

Anyway guys keeping to the theme of keeping things snappy,
I shall update tomorrow with the bits I did and didn't buy :)
Much love

Day two.

Good evening people!
So day two of blogging and my life isn't so interesting.
Yesterday I ended up just going to the gym with my cousin (I will get in a size 10 wedding dress) :)
And then I just chilled with the familan!

Today was even more boring starting the day with work although the other half and I did get a cheeky pizza express for dinner which completely defeats the point of going to the gym yesterday!
Oh well the chocolate fudge cake was soooo worth it.
Okay so this isn't actually my picture but I had to show you what it looked like as it was soooo scrummy!
Anyway keeping this post short and sweet
Much love

Day one.

Afternoon people
Okay so this is my second blog!
I decided to make this new blog as I was stuck in a bit of a rut with the last one calling it my 'beauty' blog. So as you've probably guessed this is not a beauty blog but instead a fun insight into my life so I can look back in years to come at all the little things I have written about!
As I am getting married in July of next year and plans are well under way there will probably be a few little wedding bits as well for you all to look forward to! :)
Anyway thanks for reading and I look forward to let you all a little deeper into my day to day doings!
Mucho Love
